Getting started
- Pick the two languages in Settings — the one you speak and the one they speak — then tap the sphere. Put the phone between you and talk; tap again to finish.
- Automatic mode works out who is speaking. If it gets confused (a noisy place, very short turns), switch to Hold to speak: hold the bar while you talk, release it for the other person.
- With earbuds in, translations into your language play in your ears and translations into theirs play from the phone's speaker.
- Lock the phone and the conversation keeps going. Stop it from the lock screen, the Dynamic Island or the notification. On iPhone you can also add a Translate control to Control Center, the lock screen or the Action button; on Android, add the Translate tile to Quick Settings.
Translation time
- Precise uses time only while someone is speaking; Instant uses time while the conversation runs, pauses included. Time never expires.
- Moved to a new phone, or reinstalled? Your time follows the Support ID, which is kept in iCloud Keychain (iPhone) or your Google backup (Android). If your time didn't come back, email us your old Support ID if you have it, the new one, and roughly when you bought — we'll restore it.
- Refunds go through the store you paid: Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play (play.google.com/store/account). If a conversation dropped because of a problem on our side, email us and we'll give the time back.
Troubleshooting
- Nothing happens when I start: check that Borderless has microphone access in your phone's settings, and that you're online.
- It repeats my own words, or misses a sentence: try Hold to speak, speak in turns, and keep the phone between you.
- The other person can't hear the translation: turn up the media volume; with earbuds in, their translation comes from the phone's speaker.
Languages
Borderless translates between Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Hindi and Indonesian. The app itself is available in 36 languages.

시작하기
- 설정에서 두 언어(내가 말하는 언어, 상대가 말하는 언어)를 고른 뒤 구를 탭하세요. 휴대폰을 사이에 두고 대화하고, 다시 탭하면 종료됩니다.
- 자동 모드는 누가 말하는지 스스로 판단합니다. 시끄러운 곳이나 말이 아주 짧게 오갈 때 헷갈리면 눌러서 말하기로 바꾸세요. 내가 말할 때 막대를 누르고, 상대가 말할 때 손을 떼면 됩니다.
- 이어폰을 끼면 내 언어로의 통역은 이어폰으로, 상대 언어로의 통역은 휴대폰 스피커로 나옵니다.
- 휴대폰을 잠가도 대화는 계속됩니다. 잠금 화면, Dynamic Island, 알림에서 종료할 수 있습니다. iPhone에서는 제어 센터·잠금 화면·동작 버튼에 통역 제어를, Android에서는 빠른 설정에 통역 타일을 추가할 수 있습니다.
통역 시간
- 대화가 진행되는 동안 쉬는 시간을 포함해 1초당 1초가 사용됩니다. 유효기간은 없습니다.
- 휴대폰을 바꾸거나 재설치했나요? 시간은 지원 ID를 따라가며, 지원 ID는 iCloud 키체인(iPhone) 또는 Google 백업(Android)에 보관됩니다. 시간이 돌아오지 않았다면 이전 지원 ID(알고 있다면), 새 지원 ID, 대략적인 구매 시점을 보내 주세요. 복구해 드립니다.
- 환불은 결제한 스토어(Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com, Google Play: play.google.com/store/account)를 통해 진행됩니다. 회사 측 문제로 대화가 끊겼다면 메일 주세요. 사용된 시간을 돌려드립니다.
문제 해결
- 시작해도 아무 일도 없어요: 휴대폰 설정에서 Borderless의 마이크 권한과 인터넷 연결을 확인하세요.
- 내 말을 다시 따라 하거나 문장을 놓쳐요: 눌러서 말하기를 사용하고, 번갈아 말하며, 휴대폰을 두 사람 사이에 두세요.
- 상대가 통역을 못 들어요: 미디어 볼륨을 올리세요. 이어폰을 끼면 상대의 통역은 휴대폰 스피커로 나옵니다.
